When you need a certified translation
If you are submitting a document to a Spanish court, a consulate, an immigration authority, a registry office, a notary, or a university, you almost certainly need a certified translation. A standard translation from a general translator will not be accepted by these institutions.
Certified translations in Spain must be produced by a sworn translator (traductor jurado), officially recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Our certified translators hold this accreditation for the relevant language pairs.
Common documents we certify
Birth and marriage certificates, divorce decrees, academic transcripts and degrees, criminal record checks, company articles of association, contracts, wills and probate documents, and immigration paperwork. Most documents submitted to the Spanish Registro Civil fall into this category.
