What website localization means in practice
Translation and localization are not the same thing. Translation converts words. Localization adapts content for the audience: their idioms, their cultural references, the length of words in their language (German, for example, uses longer words than English, which breaks UI layouts), their purchasing expectations.
When we localize a website, we work from the UI strings, SEO metadata, product descriptions, and any supporting content as a unified whole. We flag UI elements that need length adjustment. We adapt calls to action for local market expectations. We check date formats, number formats, and currency display.
Formats we work with
We can take your strings in JSON, XLIFF, PO files, CSV, or Excel. We can work directly in a CMS if you provide access. We return files in the same format, ready for developer import or direct CMS upload.
